Found the Stan Lee reference in episode twelve. So far, the show is pretty great.

Yuuup. Awesome show. Been listening to one of the songs from it (Jidenna, Long Live the Chief) basically all day. The wife and I watched it all over last weekend.

That cat is talented. He’s got an album coming out in a month or two, Long Live the Chief is the title track apparently. Method Man’s Bulletproof Love was awesome too, probably my wife’s favorite part of the whole show.

It really is. They need to get the soundtrack out on iTunes soon so I don’t need to just piece it together myself.

Want to like it but I don’t. Just kill the main bad guy, any of the dozens of time you are alone with him?? Bam, all issues solved.
Tried Luke Cage, tried Daredevil, tried Jessica Jones, and they are all too boring.

It’s the moral high ground thing: don’t stoop to their level. Do I agree with it? Not always, but it’s a pretty good ride.
For me, though, Jessica Jones was the best out of the Marvel Netflix stuff.

But he is breaking bones left and right - why not break a few of his too?

You said kill, not maim. Besides, breaking legs doesn’t stop someone from masterminding.

Let’s agree to disagree. All Netflix originals - other than Stranger things - just didn’t do it for me.

Haven’t seen Narcos yet, but I’ve heard that it’s good. Haven’t seen Stranger Things yet, either.

Dude. Watch stranger things. Like now, turn it on.
I tried Narcos, it was way too slow, gave up.

Just finished the show. The last ten minutes were a kick in the dick in the balls. Man, season two can’t come out fast enough.

True that. At least Bobby found the file though, so that’s good. I was about ready to be kinda upset about the ending until that happened.
Also, the way Misty was dressed in her final scene at Harlem’s Paradise is the way she dresses in the comics, so probably going to see some season two vigilanteism from Misty.

I think I saw Stan Lee on the TV in the jail flashback or something. It was definitely a TV in black and white in one of the early episodes.

Haven’t watched it yet. I’m holding off with it only because I’m trying to finish season one of Supergirl before it starts on Monday on the CW. I (or really anyone else for that matter) watched it when it was on CBS.
I loved Luke’s character in Jessica Jones, maybe even more so than Jessica herself. I’ve really been a fan of all of the Netflix Marvel series. Yes, the DC shows on the CW are arguably better, but they’re more dealing with people with actual superpowers or unique abilities. It’s probably easier to watch as a casual observer.
I get that Jessica and Luke have their thing, but they’re pretty much the only ones in thier respective series that are “special”. As such, it takes longer to build the storylines, and they play out much slower.
Without giving anything away, does this take place parallel to Jessica Jones? I imagine the string that still holds them all together will be Claire. They can’t all (and by all I mean, DD, JJ, and LC) “work” in NYC long term without running in to each other at some point.

It takes place after Jessica Jones, and there’s some overlap with characters, references, and just what goes on in the universe. I thought Jessica Jones was a better series, but Luke Cage was pretty great overall.
